Catching up

We are back up and running after having to do a complete rebuild on the computer. It is taking me several days to get all of my programs back on and my settings adjusted to my liking. I really don't understand how someone can think it's such fun to crash a person's computer. Bleh.

Nothing terribly exciting happened throughout the week. Just the usual playing around the house because it's too darned expensive to drive further than your driveway these days! It's getting to the point where it's a challenge to pay for the gas for Tim to drive to work, one of the drawbacks of living so far from the city. And don't get me started on the rising costs of groceries. I nearly fell over when they rang up my grocery bill the other day, and this was after $90 worth of coupon and Kroger card savings. I saw on the news where the price of Huggies diapers are going up 6-8%, which means the other brands will increase also. I'm so very glad we are cloth diapering. I couldn't imagine having to budget in formula, diapers, and wipes right now.

On to happier thoughts.....

Look who can sit up proper now!

He is also crawling and pulling up. He's going to be an early walker just like his big brother. Poor little guy is also cutting 2 more teeth on the bottom. He woke every 45 mins to an hour the other night because of them. I sure hope they come in soon, I need some sleep!

And look who wants attention.

"Look at me!" is his new favorite phrase.

It is finally warm enough to pull out the kiddie pool.

Catching some air...

Alex isn't quite big enough to sit in there by himself yet, but he thinks it's the funniest thing when Ben splashes him....and Ben is all too happy to oblige.

We had a visit from Mr. Turtle, as Ben has named him, earlier in the week.

And then a few days later, Mr. Turtle's brother Mr. Turtle (if you watch Sesame Street then you'll get that) came by.

If you look closely you'll see the tortoise and the hare....

And by the way, whoever said turtles are slow has obviously never tried to photograph one!

I have some new macro shots to share but I am still trying to get them all loaded back on and edited. I'll post them as soon as I'm done.

And finally the very talented Miss Vicki who makes me blush madly with her compliments tagged me a while ago, but for obvious reasons I am just now getting to it. So here it, 7 random things about me...

~I can't stand it when the kitchen cabinets get left open, I have flashbacks of the scene from The Sixth Sense.

~I name all of my vehicles...so far I've had Little Boy Blue aka the Hamster Mobile('82 Ford escort), Black Beauty ('87 Pontiac Grand Am), Moonchaser ('96 Mitsubishi Galant), and currently the Millenium Falcon (2000 Chevy Blazer). I even named my mountain bike, which is a real good dust collector right now, the Silver Bullet.

~I love potatoes of any kind except mashed...they make me gag.

~The 1st concert I ever went to was the B-52's opened by Ziggy Marley. Good times.

~If it wasn't for my husband I would still only eat 3 things and drink coke all day.

~One day I want to dye my hair purple just because I can.

~If you had asked me about having children 5 years ago I would have said hell no. Who would've thought?

If you've read this consider yourself tagged, I don't have the energy to go thru a list right now...

4 thanks for stopping by, i love comments!:
