Burt's Pumpkin Farm

Finally, a few pictures from Ben's field trip to Burt's Pumpkin Farm.

Here's Ben 1st in line at the gate.

He was ready to get in there and play! Okay, not really. What he really wanted was to get in there and pick out the biggest pumpkin he could find before someone else got it. It was difficult to convince him he had to wait until the end.

Both boys curled up in Grandpa's lap. Grandpa of course ate this up!

The ride was nice. The leaves were just starting to turn. Here's a creek we crossed over.

Having fun!

By the end of the ride all the kids were getting a bit restless and started throwing hay. Ben thought it would great fun to bury Alex in the hay.

As you can tell, Alex thought it was fun too.

After the hay ride each child got to pick out a small sugar pumpkin to take home. Ben was not interested in the small pumpkins at all. Out of obligation he grabbed the nearest one and then took off towards the big pumpkin patch.

We managed to haul Ben back to pause for a picture that Grandpa wanted next to the John Deer tractor.

Yep, he was thrilled.

Finally the hunt was on!

Then I made them stop for a picture together....such cooperation!

Here it is! Our big, huge pumpkin!

Ben trying to help hurry it out to the car so no one else could claim it.

Oh look...a wheelbarrow full of monkeys!

After Ben was assured the pumpkin was his, he relaxed and started playing. We enjoyed a nice picnic lunch by the creek.

Ben and daddy playing tag.

Our little family...

At the end of the field trip the teachers gatherd all the students for a class picture. I've never seen so many little people go in so many different directions before, all the while turning the word 'cheeeeeeeese' into the longest syllable in recorded history. It was hysterical!

They all had on matching shirts that they made in school. They took white t-shirts and tye-dyed them orange. In the circles made by the tye-dye were drawn in jack o lantern faces. So cute!

It was a great, fun-filled day!

1 thanks for stopping by, i love comments!:
