Party On!

Well, I survived Alex's 1st birthday. We had a great time! And I did pretty good, I only cried when we sang "Happy Birthday".

Here's some of the 100+ pictures taken of the day...

Ben showing off his ability to recite the Pledge of Allegiance, complete with flag prop.

And then after wowing the grandparents with his talents he pulled out his toy catalog and pointed out everything he wanted for Christmas. The boy knows how to work a crowd!

Alex enjoyed hanging with all the grandparents too....

Well, except for when grandpa tied a balloon around his wrist.

Not sure what was going on here, but the difference in their faces crack me up!

Ben was caught peeking in Alex's birthday presents.

Time for cake.

Alex was so cute when we sang Happy Birthday to him. He started smiling and clapping, so we smiled and clapped, so he smiled and clapped some more. This could have gone on all night if Ben hadn't been sitting there begging and whining for a piece of cake.

Digging in!

Bring on the presents! He did so much better than Ben did at this age. All Ben was interested in was the wrapping paper and ribbons, Alex was actually interested in the gifts themselves. Although it seems everyone missed the memo that stated if it requires batteries, choose something else.

Woweeee!

Look, a baby in a bag!

Do you ever feel like you've got a monkey on your back?

Thanks to everyone that came to celebrate Alex's special day with us!!

3 thanks for stopping by, i love comments!:
