a humble reminder

Earlier in the week I was feeling down and out over money. Christmas is coming up, our cars need some repair work, and it seems to get harder and harder to make it to the next payday. Yep, it was a full on pity party for one...no RSVP needed.

The next day I felt a little better, but the worries still sat in the back of my mind. Then last night as I was browsing a photography forum I came across a posting that struck a nerve and put it all back in place for me. A photographer was asked to come and document a mother and her 8 year old child on their last day together. The child is losing the battle against cancer had been sent home from the hospital with 24-48 hours left. As a mother I cannot even begin to imagine the depths of pain that would bring me.

Our time is precious. Wealth is not measured by the things that we have or do, it is by the amount of love we have in our lives. I am so blessed with my beautiful family and some very dear friends. I have so much love and those previous worries, while still valid, don't seem so overwhelming now.

4 thanks for stopping by, i love comments!:

That brings tears to my eyes, just thinking about having such a short timeline left between parents and child. And my throat is tightening up.

Financial worries are so stressful, but it is our families, our friends, our love that is truly what matters most. I'm glad you're my friend
