project 365/3 ~ the mathematics of baking

I took several photos today of Ben helping me whip up a batch of chocolate chip cookies. My original intention was to have a more "artsy" view, but on a whim I set the camera on the counter with the self timer and jumped in the frame with him (no make up or 'fixed' hair and all). I'm glad I did. It is not often you see me in the photos doing the the things I like to do with the boys because I'm too busy taking the picture. I can now look back on this image and remember how we discussed fractions as he helped me measure out the sugars and calculate the minutes until we could indulge in the warm gooey, goodness of fresh from the oven cookies. And hey, if you can slip in a math lesson while baking that means the calories don't count, right?

1 thanks for stopping by, i love comments!:
