christmas!
I have to say, this was the best Christmas ever. It was sweet, kind, beautiful, and an absolute joy to experience with my children.
We started Christmas Eve with the traditional baking of Santa cookies.
They managed to show little restraint this year when it came time to sprinkle on the sugar
Ben wrote a sweet note to Santa. Note how many exclamation points used, think he likes him or just trying to butter him up?
Both boys went promptly to bed at 8 o'clock full of excitement. I fully expected to be woken before the sun Christmas morning, but surprisingly I am the one who had to wake them up at 7:30. All it took was a slight nudge to Ben though and he immediately popped out of bed and ran down the hallway.
Alex joining the party
Ben has been asking for a Pillow Pet since summer, he named him Marley
Opening his laptop, I think he was initially more excited over the Star Trek decal on it
Alex loves his Buzz wings....and they are the perfect height for swiping things off of the coffe table as he does a fly by.
The best Christmas present was the blanket 3+ inches of snow we got! It started at around 8:30 and continued on until late in the evening. The boys were so very excited to get to play in it this time, since they were both so sick when it snowed last week. It's a good thing Santa brought Ben a new winter coat and Alex a pair of winter boots. They got put to good use right away.

After another cup of coffee we will be pulling on our snow gear and going out for another play this morning!

Merry Christmas, Tabitha! I'm so glad you guys had a white Christmas and everyone was healthy enough to go outside and play in the snow :)
Your boys are going to have such lovely photos to help them recall times like this. You are wonderfully talented. :)
